Family Activities

We are pleased to have lots going on this time for families with children of all ages from tots to teenagers. Activities are in and around the Family Tepee unless otherwise stated and children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

SATURDAY

12-1pm Plas Hall: Children’s Dance Workshop with Liz Lavelle. Come and learn a fun dance routine (Age 7+).

1.30-3pm Storytelling and Drama Games with Milly Jackdaw, a writer and storyteller dedicated to nature, animals and people. Join in!

3.30-4.30 Parade Workshop Come and join us making headdresses and staffs, and learning dances, ready for the parade. With Jo Munton of Vagabondi Puppets.

5-5.30 Carnival Parade around the lawns. Be a part of it!

SUNDAY

11-12.30pm on the lawns: The Great Globalisation Trading Game. Roll up, roll up, fun for all the family! (8+) Can you beat the World Bank and trade your way to untold riches? Or will you have to grow bananas? Led by Tim Hollins (WEA/ESE) and Ben Gregory (Wales NSC).

10-11am Plas Hall: Children’s Dance Workshop with Liz Lavelle. Come and learn a fun dance routine (Age 7+).

12-12.45pm Puppet Show with Jo Munton of Vagabondi Puppets. Animal Tails from Around the World: If you were a cat or a dog, you could smell the stories in the air. If you were a fish or a dolphin you could feel the stories on the ripples of the water…  Outside the tepee / indoors if wet.

1.30-3 The Lost Fairy Tales of West Wales: storytelling with Peter Stevenson, followed by a children’s book workshop with illustrators Peter Stevenson and Tara Joy.

Plus: Facepainting with Tara Joy.
